Our projects


The country diagnostic is complete and the report on mutual and cooperative microinsurance in India ‘The missing chapter of microinsurance in India – a diagnostic of mutuals’ is now available.

The Philippines

The country intervention programme began in June 2016 with project partner RIMANSI, an association of 17 Mi-MBAs and a microinsurance technical resource centre.


For the diagnostic stage of the project in Kenya, ICMIF partnered with local member companies CIC Insurance Group and Takaful Insurance of Africa (TIA); and local research firms ACRE Africa and SBO Research have been contracted.


The country diagnostic stage of the 5-5-5 project in Colombia began in August 2016, in partnership with ICMIF/Americas (ICMIF’s regional association for the Americas).

Sri Lanka

ICMIF has partnered with local ICMIF members Amana Takaful Ltd, Co-operative Insurance Company Ltd (CICL), COOPLIFE Insurance and Sanasa Insurance Company Ltd (SICL) for the country diagnostic stage.
